John--I'm taking a level of fighter to get the extra feat and martial weapon proficiency (Cleric 7/Fighter 1). She's working on the 2nd lvl of fighter for 9th lvl, but likely won't go any higher than that. Restoration is a healing spell, technically. As such, will you allow spontaneous casting?
How much did my char know in advance about the thieves' guild problems? (Did she just arrive or has she already encountered vampires?) If she had any advance knowledge of vampires, she would have prepared (holy water, garlic, wands of detect undead/invisibility to undead, and scrolls of searing light). Depending on how much that invisibility to undead cloak was, she may have even gotten one of those. Makes a big difference for purchasing. :-)
