Scott - You can get that exact model for about $70 cheaper on Newegg. (Or grab the 500gb for about the same price.)
(Edit: Actually, I just took a closer look. This model doesn't have the Firewire connection.)

Why an external, anyway? Just wanting an easy upgrade for more storage space? Or did you want the backup software and all that?
